This is truly a unique programmable wall switch timer - ideal for controlling outdoor lights, including compact fluorescents. When you install the timer you will enter in the latitude and longitude for your location (a table is included in the directions listing the latitude and longitude of numerous US and Canadian cities). You will also enter the day of the year, and the time. The timer will then calculate the hour of sunset and the hour of sunrise. If you do not want the switch to remain on all night long, you may enter the time the switch should turn off. If you're an early riser and want a light on before sunrise you may also enter the time you would like the switch to turn on in the morning. At sunrise, it will automatically turn off.

This timer is suitable for use with all types of lights and motors. By pressing the faceplate button, it can also be operated manually anytime. A wall face plate is not included. The color of the switch is white. The switch will maintain its settings even during a power outage. This single pole switch is for a 3 wire connection, including the line and neutral wire.
