Please use this store, made possible through our new partnership with EFI, to help the Conservation Law Foundation protect New England's environment. Your purchase of energy efficient or water conservation products using this online store offers the opportunity to reduce your environmental footprint while supporting CLF at the same time!

A percentage of each sale from this online store goes to support CLF advocacy on behalf of the environment. CLF works across the region to protect the natural landscapes and local communities that make New England special. Using unique legal strategies and partnering with communities, business, and government, CLF's advocates develop innovative solutions that combat climate change, restore clean water and healthy forests, protect out ocean waters and promote liveable communities.

Where to start?

The products in this online store can help you reduce energy consumption, curb water use and limit the personal environmental impacts of your everyday activities. We suggest you start by:

1. Install low-mercury compact fluorescent light bulbs*. Replacing a 100 watt incandescent light bulb with a 23 watt compact fluorescent bulb will save 141 kWh of electricity annually, and can reduce associated carbon dioxide emission by 188 pounds (based on 5 hours per day use and 1.34 lbs CO2/kWh).

2. Replace your current showerhead with a real water-saving showerhead. Commonly available 2.5 gpm "water-saving" showerheads aren't really water-saving, since this flow-rate is probably what you already have. Putting in a 1.75 gpm showerhead, however, will reduce your water use by 2,730 gallons a year (assuming a 10 minute daily shower).

3. Slaying the energy vampires! When you turn off electronics, really turn them off. Many electronic devices consume power all the time, such as monitors, printers, DVD players, and other home office and home entertainment equipment. A smart powerstrip will insure that these devices are not only protected against surges, but when the main item is turned off, power is also cut to all the related items.

Help make a difference for New England's environment today. Support CLF in a new way - buy environmentally friendly products from our online store and percentage of your purchase will help further the great work of Conservation Law Foundation.

* When your compact fluorescent lamps no longer work, please dispose of them in an environmentally-responsible way. Many municipalities offer local CFL recycling options, but if not you may also obtain recycling boxes through this store. Click here for more information.
