LEDs provide high quality, strong directional light – best for accent lighting, or lighting surfaces directly under the fixture. LEDs are generally at least twice as efficient than conventional incandescent bulbs, though as much as half as efficient as compact fluorescents. They are suitable for use in locations where bright, ambient light is not required and/or lamp maintenance is difficult.
This LED retrofit for existing 6" diameter recessed cans offers warm white LEDs, a dimmable integral power module, and an optimum light distribution pattern. Since LEDs contain no mercury, and use little electricity, they are exceptionally environmentally friendly.
The position of the LEDs in this retrofit provides maximum illumination while maintaining optimal cutoff angles to reduce glare. The frosted acrylic lens provides a 120 degree beam spread, 2750 degree Kelvin color temperature, while consuming only 12 watts of electricity.
To install screw the medium base pigtail into the existing incandescent socket, and slid the retrofit unit into place. The P8069-30 will hold in place with its three bendable spring clips. The P8058-30 will hold in place with a P87 torsion spring connection. If desired the removable trim ring may be painted to match the ceiling finish.
Two models are avalable. The P8069-30 is for use with Commercial Electric® C7ICA(H3), Emerald® P1-ICTn, Intense® ICAIC, Juno® IC22, Lithonia® L7X, and Luminaire® LUICT-00 6" recessed housings. If you have any of these non-Progress Lighting fixtures already installed, this is the retrofit you'll want.
The P8058-30 is for use with Progress Lighting's P87-AT, P87-ATQC, and P87-HIEF 6" recessed housings. If you have any of these Progress Lighting fixtures already installed, this is the retrofit you'll want.

* The light output range reflects the inadequacies of the testing protocol for LED fixtures. LED light output is measured at a cooler operating temperature (25 deg. C) than is likely to be experienced in actual use (60 deg. C). Since LEDs perform best in cool environments, and further light losses occur when LEDs are clustered together, the actual amount of delivered light is going to be lower than the tested lumens.
