This "bullet-shaped" encapsulated fluorescent lamp is a suitable replacement for a 40-60 watt incandescent light bulb. It is longer than a conventional incandescent light bulb, but with it's narrow profile it will fit in fixtures that don't offer a lot of clearance. It is rated to last for 8,000 hours (most incandescent bulbs last about 1,000 hours).
