This 18 watt SpringLamp from TCP is just like most other 18 watt spiral CFLs, excelt that it has a special rubberized coating that seals the lamp and ballast, allowing it to be used in damp or wet locations. (Note that in wet locations the manufacturer advises that it be used in a "base-up" position.) This 18 watt light bulb is a suitable replacment for a 60 to 75 watt incandescent. The bulb is rated to last for 10,000 hours.
