Electric outlets can be a significant source of uncontrolled air infiltration,
and a hazard to children. These insulated electric outlet plates covers
(for 3-prong outlets) incorporate an automatically sealing receptacle cover to prevent unwanted air infiltration. Further, it makes it difficult
for children to insert fingers or other objects into unused electrical outlets because the spring-loaded mechanism will cover the receptacle plug holes whenever they are unused. The cover is made of rigid plastic, with no loose parts to lose or misplace. To install, you only need to use a screwdriver to remove the existing outlet cover and install this in its place. The covers are available in either a white or an ivory color.
