This advanced Technabright SpringLamp from TCP incorporated dimming technology in the ballasts. The ballast allows the light output to be lowered to about 20% of full light output when used in conjunction with non-electronic dimming controls.

Note that these bulbs are not suitable for use in enclosed fixtures, emergency exit lights, or in outdoor locations where they would be exposed to the elements. Because these bulbs have electronic ballasts, and because they may only be dimmed to 20% of full light output, they should not be used with electronic dimmers. The recommended dimmer is a 600 watt slide dimmer switch (with low end trim adjustment).
