Use this flood indoors or outside. This 19 watt flood will produce 950 lumens of light, which is generally equivalent to the light produced by an 85 watt incandescent flood. Note that this can be used in exterior applications because it is wet rated (when used in a base-up position so the light is directed toward the ground), which many compact fluorescent are not.
