While all of Panasonic's bathroom fans are energy efficient and quiet, this WhisperGreen™ fan will will provide low-speed continuous ventilation as well as high speed exhaust. Turn the switch on and the fan runs at high speed. Turn the switch off and the fan will run continuously at low speed.
Because it can be hard to determine what the impact of ductwork will have of a fan's performance, the SmartFlow™ Optimum cfm Technology in this fan compensates for static pressure, so that when the fan senses static pressure the speed is automatically increased to ensure that the desired 80 cfm rate of exhaust is achieved.
Continuous ventilation is provided by the CustomVent™ Variable Speed Control that allows the fan to run continuously at a pre-set lower level of 30-70 CFMs, helping insure good indoor air quality. When the wall switch controlling the fan is turned off the integrated delay timer in the fan will then return the fan from high speed (80 cfm) to the pre-set lower cfm level (from 30 seconds to 60 minutes). Both the preferred low cfm setting and the period of delay may be set by the user.
Like other Panasonic fans, this fan also has a built-in backdraft damper, enclosed condensor motor rated for continuous operation, rust proof paint on a galvanized steel housing, and is designed for relatively easy installation.
