eMonitor4™24 can show you exactly how much electricity your whole house, or an individual circuit, is using "real time" … The eMonitor4™24 (now wireless!) connects to the circuit breaker panel in the home with sensors that clamp around each circuit (up to 22 individual circuits can be monitored). With Wireless communication - no exposed wires outside the service panel + Integrated WiFi.
The eMonitor4™24 consists of three primary components – the wireless eMonitor4™ which is installed inside the electrical panel, the wireless Gateway which sends the eMonitor’s data to the home’s internet connection and sits outside the electrical panel, and the software subscription (sold separately through Powerhouse Dynamics when the system is registered online) that compiles and presents the information through any Internet connected computer. eMonitor4™24 will capture circuit level usage data each minute and upload this information to Powerhouse Dynamics' web server, allowing it to be viewed any time from any location. eMonitor4™ can also diagnose potential problems, offer savings recommendations, and send out real-time alerts and communications relating to lights or appliances that have been left on or when specific circuits are overloaded. Up to 14 days of data stored in case of communications outage.
In addition, eMonitor4™24 can link to smart thermostats through Wi-Fi/802/11b/g.
Requirements: The eMonitor4™24 hardware is installed inside your circuit panel. An internet connection is required for operation, and the eMonitor software can then be accessed from any computer with Internet access.
Note: The eMonitor4™24 requires a Software service contract that is sold through the Powerhouse Dynamics portal. The minimum requirement is a two-year contract for $240.00 (equivalent of $10/mo). The fee is paid upon registration of equipment and request for software key.
Installation: To monitor each of the circuits in a home, sensors need to be installed on each circuit breaker inside the electrical panel. The installation is straightforward, but the installation of the eMonitor4™24 requires the cover of the main electrical circuit breaker panel to be removed. If you are not qualified to do the installation yourself, any certified electrician can handle it for you. In addition, Powerhouse Dynamics and InstallerNet have partnered to offer provide hassle-free eMonitor4™ installation and set-up. InstallerNet installers have been trained to install the eMonitor4™, set-up the software account, and give a tutorial of the eMonitor4™ system and related accessories. To facilitate this, a deactivated installation card is included with the eMonitor4™. By activating this card online, you can schedule installation at your convenience. Installation through this service is an extra charge and is not included with your payment for the eMonitor4™24.
Note: This eMonitor4™24 model can monitor up to 22 circuits.
