APC's Back-UPS® ES series is now "greener" than ever. The ES 750 utilizes an ultra-efficient design that consumes less power during normal operation than any other battery backup in its class, saving you money on your electricity bill. It accomplished this by reserving power capacity and run time for connected equipment that require battery back-up while providing surge only protection for less critical equipment.
The APC Back-UPS ES 750 provides up to 70 minutes of battery backup for home computers in case of a power failure. In addition to four battery backup outlets, and two surge protection-only outlets, it has an additional master outlet and three controlled outlets, so when the item plugged into the master outlet is off or hibernating (in sleep mode), the peripherals plugged into the controlled outlets will automatically turn off, insuring energy-savings. The sensitivity of the master outlet is adjustable, to insure that when the computer is in sleep mode the master outlet recognizes the reduced voltage.
This UPS also provides surge protection for devices sucn as RJ-45 Modem/Fax/DSL, 10-100 Base-T protection, cable modem/video. Included is PowerChute Personal Edition software to monitor the UPS from your PC, gracefully shutting down your computer in the event of a power outage. APC provides $75,000 lifetime connected equipment protection. (PowerChute software is not compatible with Intel-based Apple Macintosh computers)
