This quality ceiling fixture combines the reliability of a magnetic ballast with quick-start lamp technology to deliver the light of a 120-180 watt incandescent fixture. With three 13 watt quad quick-start lamps there is none of the start-up flicker that is typically associated with magnetic ballasts. The fixture has a clear ribbed glass diffuser and a steel housing with a brass finish. This ES1 model uses a magnetic ballast that made the fixture ENERGY STAR qualified, but subsequent to its listing ENERGY STAR requirements were modified to require electronic ballasts.
