When used in conjunction with the building interior wrap material, the flexible polyurethane flange around the box forms an energy efficient vapor seal that provides an air barrier in exterior walls and ceilings.
Allied Moulded vapor seal boxes can help stop warm air leaks during the winter and, conversely, cool air leaks during the heat of summer making for a more energy efficient home. The flanges are a flexible polyurethane flange around box, and the boxes are reinforced rigid fiberglass. They have has angled mid-nails for ease of installation. The fan support box is a strong "O" bar box that is rated for a 35 pound fan or a 50 pound fixture.
