MaxLite's circular compact fluorescent light bulbs are wonderful for table lamps with harps. They offer instant-on, flicker-free operation. This 20 watt version is a suitable replacement for a 60 watt incandescent light bulb. With this type of light bulb the lamp is separate from the ballast section. Since the lamp has a rated life to 10,000 hours while the ballast has a rated life of 40,000 hours multiple bulbs can be used over the life of one ballast.
These bulbs are not suitable for use in enclosed fixtures, emergency exit lights, in outdoor locations where they would be exposed to the elements, or in conjunction with dimmers or photocells.
