MaxLite's DimMax compact fluorescent offerings continuous dimming down to 20 percent of full light output. It features an air-gap, amalgam technology, heat sink, and higher temperature rated components; all of which combine to offer greater heat tolerance. MaxLite states that this CFL should work with all existing incandescent dimming controls.

This bulb is not suitable for use in enclosed fixtures, emergency exit lights, or in outdoor locations where it would be exposed to the elements.
