LEDs are "light emitting diodes", able to efficiently convert electricity to light without the need for a filament or phosphor. LED holiday light sets use a fraction of the electricity of incandescent light sets, last longer, and the bulbs remain cool to the touch.
Due to strong demand many LED light strings are out of stock for 2011. EFI is working with manufacturers to see if more stock can be obtained, but ETAs are tentative at this time.
