Vornado TouchStone ™ Vortex Heater

There are times when it can be more expensive to heat an entire house to a "normal" temperature when all you really need is supplemental heat in one room. This Vornado TouchStone ™ Heater is suitable for rooms up to 250 square feet (e.g. 16 x 16 feet with an 8 foot ceiling). Unlike many heaters, it is constructed of steel instead of plastic, and has a double-wall construction so the exterior remains cool to the touch. The TVH-500 uses Vornado’s unique vortex circulation to quietly, quickly, and evenly warm a room, from floor to ceiling. It has a remote control (using 2 AAA batteries, included), easy-to-set off-timer and a top-mounted digital LCD screen to display current and set temperature. The color is charcoal.

Energy-Saving Features

Vortex Air Circulation: Unlike most space heaters that passively deliver heat directly in front of the heater, the TVH-500 will circulate heat evenly throughout a room.

Off-Timer: The TVH-500 can be set to automatically turn off in one hour intervals for up to 9 hours.

Safety Features

Tip-Over Protection: The heater will automatically shut off if tipped towards the front or back.

Air-Flow Sensor: If the airflow is blocked (such as by draperies) the heater automatically cuts power to the heating element.

Tight Grill Veins: Resists curious fingers.

Illuminated Indicator Light: A visible reminder that the heater is on.

Modest Exit Air Temperature: The exit air temperature is about 120° Fahrenheit, which is approximately the exit air of a central forced air heating system.
