This floor lamp fixture represents the evolution of the original Verilux HappyEyes Floor lamp. In addition to use of the same energy efficient lamp used in the HappyEyes fixture, it has an easier to adjust head, with a large handle and more positioning options.

Because the color temperature of the lamp used in this fixture is 6,000 degrees Kelvin, this fixture will provide a much whiter light than that offered by incandescent bulbs and many other compact fluorescents. A whiter light may be able to increase contrast and clarity on reading materials, which may, in turn, reduce eyestrain. The ballast used in this desk lamp is electronic, so there will be none of the flickering that is common with many magnetically ballasted lamps. The fixture is a neutral putty color with a gray neck.
